Why Nigel, do you think he will get 'over excited' at the thought of an Oaks victory?

    Weather warning

Certainly forecast to be rather damp, but the wind doesn't pick up to Swallows' monsoon proportions until the evening. Have a close look at these figures from Metcheck. Scary

From Until Temp Feels UV Rain Cloud Speed Gust
    1:00 3:59 9 °c 8 °c 0 0.0 mm 95 % 9 mph 11 mph
    4:00 6:59 11 °c 8 °c 0 0.6 mm 97 % 13 mph 16 mph
    7:00 9:59 11 °c 8 °c 1 1.4 mm 100 % 17 mph 20 mph
    10:00 12:59 11 °c 9 °c 1 5.4 mm 100 % 18 mph 22 mph
    13:00 15:59 12 °c 10 °c 0 3.5 mm 100 % 20 mph 24 mph
    16:00 18:59 13 °c 11 °c 0 6.6 mm 100 % 20 mph 24 mph
    19:00 21:59 14 °c 6 °c 0 0.8 mm 100 % 226 mph 271 mph
    22:00 0:59 13 °c 7 °c 0 1.7 mm 96 % 230 mph 276 mph

Think their forecast engine/computer may be overestimating the wind strength from 7pm onward. At least, I certainly hope so

Think I'd better go and dig out my floatation suit. It was that which saved my day during the Swallows torrent; I was probably the only person to stay dry and warm.

    Big question is .....

Should I risk getting my MPR all soggy or, as I did on that infamous Swallows SIHFT round, use my Prosport?

    Difficult one.

    UPDATE ON NICK.

Seems his leg was pretty badly smashed up from the knee down, he's in London having it repaired, says his ankle is now made up of metal & is in till next week while they repair the rest of it.
Think he may be out for a while
