Stripping and polishing the frame can get some very nice results. It's a bit of a crap photo but you can get the jist of it. I stripped it with Nitromoors, sanded down and then polished. It has a way to go yet.

that looks quality dude,,,,,,,did the nitromoors peel the paint off pretty well or did you still have plenty of sanding to do?

I've not coated it yet, I still have a way to go with the polishing. I haven't quite got it how I want it. It will stain if its polished and left without a covering of some sort though.

I have still to make up my mind what to do about the slide and there are a few custom bits I want to add, courtesy of Magicniner.

Nitromoors did very little on its own. It needed a fair amount of agitation and left the metal very dull. Its been sanded and polished by hand and still needs a little more, hence no coating yet. I also polished the barrel and ejection port. One of the easiest mods I think you can do. A bit of 600 grade wet and dry and some polish and it makes a world of difference.
