    Elanmac - Baker

Do you know anything about the history of your Baker? Was it a commercial enterprise?

Hi there John, do any of yours wear socks? I've seen them on golf clubs.

Here's an interesting one from the late 80s.

In the last 12 months of Airmasters proper, my father and i decided we wanted to compete with a lightweight break barrel again. The 124 was too unforgiving to compete with 77s and the new Shamals. To be honest, I think my Dad was trying to reignite my interest.

So we had a choice of a few rifles. The Sport was in its mk111 period and really way to unforgiving. The omega was complete poo. Original were concentrating on producing guns to American spec'. The obvious choice of course was the 85. Small, great trigger and more efficient than the 124.

So we developed the 85 Mastersport and boy is it a worthy successor. We made 3 prototypes before the company ceased trading. The stock was based on our Dominator stock but considerably streamlined, I'm not sure what one weighs in at but it can't be much more than 7lbs scoped with a 2-7 Tasco.

Yep, they're sat next to that one in my cab. One is rebarrelled with a 12" original 45 .20 barrel. The other has a sleeved 98 barrel. My intention was to sell the example in the pix but I decided against it after processing the images. These are keepers.
