Hi
My BSA Mercury shoots to the right and down and i think its due to the barrel at the front you pull back wobbles, I thinks its because the 2 big pins going through are not very good.
Thanks

Isn't it just one pin/bolt?
It depends which Mercury it is,on my old Mercury Challenger from about 1985 the bolt came loose on its own quite easily.
In the end I thread locked into place and it never came undone again.
If might be worth taking out the pin/pins/bolt that are already there and see if they are worn at all.
The pin is only a few pounds from either Chambers or John Nibbs

Just need to know which model of Mercury it is you have, Mk1, 2, 3, 4 or S
Logun Mk2 Professional Karbine .22 MTC Taipan 4-16x50.
Original Model 45 .22 AGS Tru Hunter 3-9x50.
BSA Mercury Mk1 3-9x50 AGS
Thanks, i dont have a clue what mercury it is but its a .177 and there are 2 pins and they look like if i knocked them out then wont go back in so ill see about getting some new ones.
One pin is for the barrel axis.
The other is for the barrel detent.
Do you have any side to side play? As that is far more common. If so, nipping it up in a padded vice might just do it, but it will go sloppy again. The only long term fix would be to have the breech jaw sides countersunk and then fit a Weihrauch style breech bolt.
Strip, clean, check for wear and any play.
Are the holes elongated?
Re-lube inside of breech jaws, breech sides, both pins and the latch and its spring with moly grease.
