    Alamo Rifle Lockplate

    Hi all,

This might be a longshot but would anyone know where I could get a flintlock lockplate for a Pedersoli Alamo Rifle?

    Cheers

I would try the Pedersoli importers, is it Viking? They were very helpful in getting me a front sight for my Mortimer even though they are not a retailer.

    Hey there,

Ive had a chat with Kranks, they can get me one, but it might not be an easy job fitting it, I was hoping it would be a simple unscrew and screw on job, that way I could switch back to the percussion lock when I wanted, but I dont think it will be that easy now...

Well, currently a probationary member of SDRPC, in highstead chalk pits, are you a member?

Yes its not really the lock plate that's the problem, its swopping the bolster/nipple for pan/touchhole.

I shoot at Faversham. Wasn't sure if the chalk pits was still going.

Well, it has a percussion nipple on a drum sticking out the side of the barrel, I think the drum can probably be unscrewed and replaced with a touchhole.

Interesting, I did try and contact the faversham club but had no luck, is that the club thats affiliated with the MLAGB?

    Tom,

Yes, although I had to cancel my MLAGB membership this year as I decided I could no longer afford it!
