Guys anyone had this happen?
Eleven month old hw77 stock delaminating just behind the saftey above the wrist of the stock.
I've got another rifle with a laminate stock I'm hoping this isn't a common fault.
I off the to the gun dealer next week and hope they do the decent thing.
Cheers,
Cptman.

why is it there are more horses arses in the world than there are horses?
This is the first time I've heard of this kind of thing happening, but I suppose it's all down to the quality of the "ply-wood" being used!
I would have thought it would be covered by the guns warranty...pretty harsh if it isn't!
Good luck with that mate.

This is a warranty issue. Any chance of a photo?.
Never had a laminated stock on an air rifle but did wonder if this could happen.I should think it's just an odd faulty one but as you state that it's only seven months old it will be,or should be, replaced under warranty. You've still got your receipt or proof of purchase I presume.
Got me worried now,
Hope you get it sorted matey,
Harry.
Laminated stocks can be prone to internal stresses due to uneven seasoning. I saw an EV2 that had been carelessly propped up which fell a few inches, and the stock cracked across the pistol grip.

Hull cartridge have it at the moment, and apparently they are replacing the stock, it's due back to me next week.

there was probably a void in one of the layers of laminate when the plywood was manufactured and the glue didn't seal to both surfaces. even the person making the stock wouldn't know there was a problem and the manufacturers should replace without a fuss.
