Consider it done Mick. If you could pm me an e-mail address it will help the organisers communicate directly and would be much appreciated, it won't be passed to anyone but the organiser.

    old airgun ads

It looks like this is going to be another great day out for collectors and shooters alike

I do like those Old Airgun Ads Nick

It's amazing just how many of the rifles, pistols and scopes I have owned over the past 30+ years

I am a bit puzzled though by the 'Airgunners Friend' advert in Airgunner 1990 uploaded on Jan 25, 2013 (Page 3)

'The Patented Diagnostic Tester' I will try Googling it

    Absolutely Gordon.
Journey time from Quigley Hollow > Melbourne is only 29 mins, so it's an easy trip out for the hardcore who are doing Mick's Springer Bash (highly recommended ) and will offer an opportunity to reprovision for Saturday evening, there's a Sainsbury's next to the Legion.

For those who a Fair regulars why not double up and do the Bash too? Great set up with numerous targets from close to far, covered firing position... follow the link above.

My attempts to discover where this wunder-tool went met with abject failure.
A definite oddity John, I suspect it might more accurately be described as the "Airgunner's Fiend", another "great idea" that didn't live up to the hype? There's also a muzzle attachment which claimed to "tune" any airgun, circa 1998 (?), but looked like a cross between an old coke bottle and a spring balance. I'll see if I can find and scan it.

I've got one in the loft I think... not cheap back in the day. Your two items would have cost £41.50 in 1985, about the same as a Webley Tempest or half an HW80.
