Is there a way to tell what MK my Meteor is? I’ve had it from new, 30 years 7 days exactly.

Meteors Mk's may be identified by the serial number prefix on the underside of the breech.
Mk1 = N & T 1959/62
Mk2 = NA & TA 1962/68
Mk3 = NB & TB - NG & TG 1966/73
Mk4 = NB & TB - NG & TG 1974/79
Mk5 = NH & TH 1979/93
Mk6 = ZE & WE 1993/2012
Mk7 = QF 2012
Hope this helps Regards Bill
N Meteor MK I .177 1959 - 1962
NA Meteor MK II .177 1962 - 1966
NB Meteor MK II .177 1962 - 1968
ND Meteor MK II + Super Mark I .177 1967 - 1969

[QUOTE=Josie & John;7973020]Hi Bill,
Do you know if both .177 and .22 Mk7s were prefixed with QF?
Kind regards,
John[/QUOTE
Hi John sorry not sure with regards to the mk7 prefix. I suspect that it is the same for 177/22 but as I say not sure .Maybe someone else with more info may chip in.
Regards Bill

Can I ask a related question on this thread rather than start another please?
