Starting with a mod adapter is the thin end of the wedge, before you know it you've got a fancy silencer, aluminium sight rail, decent red dot sight to go with it, nice hand made wooden grips, fancy screws to hold said grips, stainless screws and bolts and a nice case to put it in. You then realise you're looking at £500 worth of investment in what is really a plinker. Looks good though.

I have the 92fs XXtreme it comes with a (pretend) silencer but if you cover the holes it does actually silence it, not as much as a dedicated silencer but enough for garden shooting.
There is a better option for an adapter that will not leave nasty marks on you gun. See:

I've had a moderated 92 for years as a discreet back garden gun
The Ramsbottom adaptor is good, a twist of insulating tape prevents barrel marking
A slim alloy silencer allows the sights to be used
A fun gun with an excellent D/A trigger
Really tempted to grab one of those ramsbottom mods for the 92 and throw my hogan decimeater on there. Does it stay put fairly well if it’s taped on there?
