    I only have a spare Hw55 piston that is now sitting here feeling quite inadequate, in that it is never going to be up there with the big boys in the power stakes.

    I'm off before I feel totally obsolete but in saying that, as Arnie would say, old But not obsolete

    I did a similar conversion a while back, with a leather sealed piston, and got some velocity improvement- but not a massive one.
    JSB express at 715-720fps, which sholud be right above 9fpe.
    This was with a Maccari/ARH E-3200 spring, you can probably get a bit more with some spring experimentation.

    I mentioned it in the thread about Hw50 velocity, that one of my old leather sealed Hw50's was a bit faster than expected...
    When I opened it up, I found the conversion that I had done previously, and forgot all about

    Will be interesting to how munch velocity you get!
