I'm pretty sure that the HW55m action will drop straight into a HW99 stock, as should the HW55 action if the stock was relieved for the barrel lock, if that floats your boat ?

Thanks, that gives me some ideas! The 99/50s I have is waiting on me to fit a ARH/Maccari walnut stock that was generously given last year... I've started working on the final inletting, but its going slow. (better slow than too fast).
That means the stock from the 99/50s would be available for use on other guns.. Interesting options arise, a long stroke old type 50/55 in a modern 99/50 stock could be an good rifle!
