Just to be pedantic -that nice spring pistol will be an HW45, the HW40 is a nice single stroke pneumatic.

If you're just starting out you could do a lot worse than an HW40, they are cheap to buy and extremely accurate and they have a good trigger. The HW45 is a beast that requires quite a degree of expertise to shoot properly.

SMK CP2. (Diana, Artemis, Victory, Zasdar, Snowpeak, etc ad naus)
    It's CO2 but CO2 is cheap online.
With PCP you'll need a scuba tank and an oaf to carry it, or compressor (£££) or breaking your back on a stirrup pump, so that's not beginner.
    Reasonably priced.
You get pistol and rifle in one box. .177 or .22 (but the barrels can be swapped )
And a silencer. It needs the silencer. Alternative is CP1-M pistol only but no silencer, and the CP2 trigger is better.
It is very, very, very accurate.
Just so you understand, it is very accurate.

Baikal MP53 is a nice easy to use and pretty accurate springer
Weihrauch HW40 is a nice easy to use and pretty accurate single stroke pneumatic, better trigger than the Baikal MP53
Weihrauch HW45 is a bit of a beast, much harder to shoot accurately then either of the two above.
Baikal MP46 is a very nice very accurate single stroke pneumatic match grade pistol.

Plenty of other good pistols will be suggested, but perhaps if you could handle a few and see what suits you?
Air Arms, Weihrauch, BSA, Crosman, and Baikal
