    Hi gm

It's not actually a Supertarget as it has an open rearsight, Pretty sure that ST didn't, My mate said the mk3 could be ordered from the factory with the PH target sights fitted, I think he said they may have been called the Mk3 Luxury but whether that was just what Joe Public named them I don't know!

The serial is 36403, I'll have to break out my Thrale book and see if I can date it!, It seems an early one though as there's no cra**y scope rail welded on and it has the rounded loading tap..

I cocked the rifle then opened the tap and released the tension whilst holding the lever so it didn't do any damage, It then held the piston back fabulously!, I've four more Mk3's, Three of them will do the same and hold it for quite a while!!

EDIT- I had a look through the mk3 section of Mr Thrales book and it appears there was a Supertarget with an iron rearsight fitted as well as the PH aperture sight!, It's all very confusing!

You're like a lot of people on here, John. You just can't resist a nice piece of walnut and blued steel, whatever your head is telling you.
