    Mk3

    Where would the serial no be the only numbers i can find are 23-30 engraved on the inside of the cocking arm?

    As far as I remember there is one on the underlever where it joins to the main part and somewhere else mine away being reblued so can’t tell you where the other one is

    Valuation

    My guess would be between; £140-£180.

    The second serial is under the barrel, just above the cocking lever pivot. When the action is cocked, the two are thus adjacent.

    Bit of a glut of Mk3's on sale these days. They are wonderful pieces of craftsmanship, mediocre shooters, so I suspect newbies go for the more modern bells and whistles rifles (search You Tube for Webley Mk3). But, this is an early one, and in very nice condition. As said elsewhere it is .177 with a diopter. Whereas normal Mk's would go for £130-180 depending on condition, this is a £160-200 gun imho. However, it may not fly of the shelf, but is certainly worth that.

    I don’t disagree on value.

    It’s not that early, though. It’s a 1957-61 Series 4.
