odd sportsmatch

I have a pair of sportsmatch weaver base mounts , on one of them underneath where the action clamp screws go through , there's a countersunk screw that goes vertically right where the clamp screw would exit . I know of a recoil screw , and elevation adjustment screws , but this is odd . Any ideas .

Use https://postimages.org/ resize for message boards, download the pic, copy / paste "thumbnail for message board"

Not a Rapid mount is it ? they screw down to the block.
