    I love a happy ending

I bet it shoots softer with the tighter seal too.
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Yes it shoots very nicely now thanks .

A slightly unfortunate issue now is after it being in pieces for so long before final reassembly I’ve misplaced/ lost the single sided safety and spring!
I’ve got a new one from Chambers but it’s the later 2 sided version .
Does anyone know the dimensions of the single sided one before I start grinding the new one down .
Is it just overall length that’s different or are there other differences?

    Thanks again.

Just cut it where it is thick and then thin part at the end so it’s only thick at the end if that makes sense

I just happen to be sat next to my stripped down hw35.

I modified mine alot but can't remember what spring is in it. How much preload do you have?

I de tuned mine, it's a .177 and I tried to get it shooting as nicely as possible at 6ftlb.
I made an extended piston head, fitted an O ring, lightened thebpuston, fitted delrin buttons, made delrin spring guide and top hat, think I changed the TP port size too, but can't remember.
It has no spring preload though. Can't remember if I changed it, or cut some coils off, or if it's stock.

Shoots very nicely, but not as accurate as I'd hoped.

The spring out of a biro pen will do and cut it down to size needed

Thanks guys that’s just the info i needed!
Didn’t measure preload but no more than an inch probably. That will go down if I have to shorten the spring again if the power creeps up .

    Thanks.
Maybe I didn't shorten it then, at least not by much.
