    Single point riflesight.

Just acquired a very nice singlepoint rifle sight in perfect working condition and in its original box with instruction leaflet. Made by Singlepoint avionics Hampshire.
What sort of value are these quite rare sights worth nowadays. There is a small chance it might come up for sale in future, i have a friend who is sniffing at it but i dont think its the thing for a .223.

    flogger,

Due to the Star Wars movies, they do seem to have a ready market.

Looking on the Interweb, they seem to go for ca. £100 - £200.

    Have fun

    Best regards

Whether it's true or not I read during the Vietnam war, soldiers taped a single point sight to their M16's.

    Recent interesting post about them.

    Single point.

Thanks for reply chaps. Thinking about it i do have the shotgun version of the single point i bought it years ago its still in good nick. It fits on the muzzle end of the barrel, with different size bases according to the width of the barrel rib, 8/10/11 mil etc. I did not use it for very long shooting clay pigeons as one spent to much time looking at the dot and not the moving target which is the whole idea of shooting clays. So its still in its packet in my store. Also just acquired from the same source a Webley ranger .177 Circa 1969/70. Series C. A Diana model 27 .22 and a Milbro model 16 in .177.

Just sold these two for £200 each, new condition, one standard and one shotgun. Got copies made of the insert pamphlet.
