Angry Help needed. Walther LGV pivot bolt breach bolt.

    Hi guys.
I'm attempting to remove the barrel from the compression tube of my LGV but it's being an utter bas**rd.
Specifically the pivot bolt won't budge. I've used brute force, I've heated with an industrial soldering iron and I have taken a blowtorch to it... Nothing... What am I missing here? Any advice from someone thats had them off in the past will be a great help.

    Blimey! That sounds tight!

Bit of a long shot here, but it does apply to some rifles.....not sure if it might help? Have you released the barrel latch and opened the breech slightly?

    P.S....Welcome to the forum.

The locking 'nut' is on the lh side as you look from breech towards the muzzle, action upright. Thus, with the barrel pointing left, stock right, you undo the lock nut first. Or is that how you are trying to do it?

Why do you need to remove the barre?: Spring etc change does not need barrel removal.

    Cheers, Phil

Sorry if this sounds a daft question but have you removed the locking nut (35) ? :-

I've tried at varying points with the barrel released.

Thanks, I've been lurking for many years!

    I've tried both sides.
I'm removing it to increase transfer port to 3mm

if it remains stubborn, just ream it from the inside of the cylinder with an extension.
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

What tools are you using ?
Some are very tight as you’ve found out .

Support the action so you can use both hands easily .Use the correct size slotted bit in a 3/8 ratchet on the lock nut side & a stubby driver on the bolt side , be carful not to slip.

The bits in an manual impact driver fit well but you may need a reducer for the ratchet or use a 1/2 inch ratchet .

Ive a good collection of tools and a fairly well stocked, though messy workshop.
Thanks, I'll try doing exactly as you say before coming at the TP the other way.

If you've tried to undo it from both sides, it is quite possible you have locked it up tighter. concentrate on getting the nut off first and ignore the screw

Try tightening the bolt, and then loosening the nut.
