Crosman 2240 stubby stranger velocity

Hi,

just modded my 2240 in stubby .22, 5.7" barrel, power adjuster lightly screwed, no modded valve, i have chrony average 555 fps with 14.3pellets, my chrony is chinese xt 3005 for confirmation i have chrony my springers and no problem work well...

i dont understand with 7.5" barrel i have 410 fps and stubby 555 fps

Are you sure it's not the blast of Co2 that's affecting the reading?

Could it be that you are measuring the gas escaping the muzzle and not the pellet?

Yes i think is the blast CO2 wrong me reading... Because 550 fps with stubby Is impossible...
