Out of curiosity how's it going with the rifle - ?
If I'm selling something I might take unopened pellets I shoot for a swap instead of money if items are below £50

Something isnít right here very suspicious

If the rifle is as good as he says it is then why no to refund? Makes me think it was all planned which is obviously dishonest on his part.

He said it maybe be the scope which I said Iíd try another (new scope landed today) which I purchased for this rifle looks like that was a waste of money too.

Iíve heard nothing from him, he hasnít replied here just total shutdown!

He knew before sending it, he has until tomorrow to get in touch and come up with something to sort this bad deal out then I will have no choice but to contact fraud,
Police and bank which isnít going to be nice for him..
Police and Bank? You may as well call Ghostbusters and Batman.
    This is a civil matter

Given that subsequent events have shown the rifle actually has a recurring intermittent fault,
personally I think it tends to support the sellers position that he sold it in 100% excellent working order,
& as such he was not obliged to give a refund.

I think the firt part of your statement is right, but the I think the big problem with the seller was his unwillingness to persue the warranty claim himself, which as the origininal owner he could easily have done...

But the title of this thread is clearly misleading with what we know now.

Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

    Yes he could have,
but he might have bought it used himself & so not had any warranty.
Equally if he did have a warranty, why would he take it back with the risk that BSA would reject the claim as caused by misuse, which is clearly what he thought was the case.

I agree about the thread title.
