Few air rifles were actually used in military training. Probably fewer actually have military acceptance marks. I know of 2 probably 3? The CZ VZ35 and I assume so did the VZ47? The Hakim rifle. Are there any others?

BSA military patterns were given / bought by British regiments or cadet schools, some were marked as per;

Granted these are more "property of" rather than the broad arrow type where guns have been evaluated by the board etc.
I think BSA were hoping for the latter and the ones they gave away or sold at a discount were used in their adverts to try and get sales. (as used by several regiments etc.).

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
