    Le-032 lrf.....question

    Le-032 lrf.....question

I have been told this unit has a reset code if it goes a bit mental.

Does anyone know if this is so and what the reset proceedure is please.

I have done a search to no avail.

The issue is that a long press should turn it on (it does) and then another press to fire the laser up.... but it doesn't.

It either does nothing or turns the unit off.

Laser isnt firing when viewed through a phone or NV device.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks.

Hi I’m sorry I don’t know of a reset procedure but to turn the laser on first press the switch on the rats tail then press and hold the mode button on the back of the unit until the laser illuminates then press the rat tail switch again to start scanning.hope this helps .

I think I have solved it.
I tried a fresh battery from my Leica range finder and it worked perfectly!!!
Looks like the battery had dropped below the laser but enough to run the screen.
Dont trust the batrery icon... it was saying 2 of 3 bars but clearly this seems to be bullshitz.
Thanks for the suggestion. The press and hold of the mode button just switches from Y to M or back.

Thanks, I hope this has saved me a lot of head scratching. My LE-032 has the same issue as the OP. I had noticed that the battery indicator had a mind of its own. That said, I just tested my battery at 2.98v which should be sufficient as the CR2 says it is 3v.

This is the rifle mounted LRF isn't it ?

Mine doesn't work like the above, all the M button on the unit does is switch modes; range, horizontal range, fog, fog horizontal, speed, yards/meters.

The rat tail does; ON (long press), Laser (short press) distance hold (2nd short press) Off (long press)

I have yet to understand the practical purpose of the speed reading

There's nothing in the instructions about any reset code.
