Looks very nice.
Just finished this stock up with the help of Craig Petty (Craig-P on here) for the chequering and have to say probably one of the coolest projects I’ve ever worked on!
Graded French walnut blank in a modern style but borrowing heavily from classic aesthetics. Lots of hand working to get the shape right and fine details such as spacers, inset screw cups, and an ebony grip cap.
The action is a prototype called the Peregrine and was designed by the same chap that designed the Paradigm that Webley never released. Currently in .177 putting out about 10.5ft/lbs, it has the same internally wizardry that the Paradigm promised but with a more conventional layout. With me not being provided a stock to inlet from I had to test the action during fitment several times and cocking is a breeze. The rotary breech is a dream as well and allows easy access to the barrel.
The action isn’t a lightweight, so I had to put a bit of thought into the balance to get it to handle right.
Everyone who knows me knows I’m a sucker for a Single Stroke Pneumatic so I’m happy to say that unlike normal this won’t be the last time I see this build, as I’ll be having a bit of a play with it later in the year
Anyway let’s be honest, we’re all here for pics

Great looking stock Tom and a very interesting action.

Very nice lines, and yes a nice piece of walnut, both complement each other. I too am a sucker for SSPs and have had my fair share over the years, currently it has to be the Genesis I'm fondest of.....
I do like that....
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
That is just so lovely - I'm going to feel jealous for the rest of 2022 at least.
Gorgeous looking set up. I'd be very chuffed if I owned that 👍
Super soaker 3000 (water), nerf fang (foam), noisy cricket (energy), m41a pulse rifle (10x24), Gat gun (.177)
Beautiful.
Very well done Tom and Craig.
THE BOINGER BASH AT QUIGLEY HOLLOW. MAKING GREAT MEMORIES SINCE 15th JUNE, 2013.
NEXT EVENT :- May 4/5, 2024.........BOING!!
what a stunner
Fancy!
Fantastic bit of work.
Always fancied having a go at making a nice stock.
I'd never get near that quality though!
Old German target rifles and even older BSA's
Great looking stock with a fantastic grain well done.
Thanks all for the kind words, took a bit of work balancing function with aesthetics but I’m very proud of the end result!
Nice to see another SSP fan, think the other half would say I’m now bordering on obsessed I do like my Genesis (although it is currently scopeless) however it’s not my go to SSP for a day at the range.

Wow what a tasty project Tom that stock ♥️
SSP rifles really do intrigue me something I’m going to pay a bit more attention to

Lovely stock, lovely rifle. I met the designer a few years ago at the shooting show and tried the paradigm he had with him, that was a nice gun but from he said this is a much better design.
It was a thread a few months back like this that kick started my obsession with ssps, my first one is in the post as we speak winging it's way up the country! Roll on the weekend!!
