Just finished this stock up with the help of Craig Petty (Craig-P on here) for the chequering and have to say probably one of the coolest projects I’ve ever worked on!

Graded French walnut blank in a modern style but borrowing heavily from classic aesthetics. Lots of hand working to get the shape right and fine details such as spacers, inset screw cups, and an ebony grip cap.

The action is a prototype called the Peregrine and was designed by the same chap that designed the Paradigm that Webley never released. Currently in .177 putting out about 10.5ft/lbs, it has the same internally wizardry that the Paradigm promised but with a more conventional layout. With me not being provided a stock to inlet from I had to test the action during fitment several times and cocking is a breeze. The rotary breech is a dream as well and allows easy access to the barrel.

The action isn’t a lightweight, so I had to put a bit of thought into the balance to get it to handle right.

Everyone who knows me knows I’m a sucker for a Single Stroke Pneumatic so I’m happy to say that unlike normal this won’t be the last time I see this build, as I’ll be having a bit of a play with it later in the year

Anyway let’s be honest, we’re all here for pics
