The worlds gone Britannia mad !

Its not even April 1st ??

So, who is selling off the contents of the Britannia factory ?

    All quite early examples Lakey.

I don't know of any genuine .22 Britannias and I wonder if these have been mis-described by the auction house.

Would be interesting if someone on here could examine them at the viewing.

Currently looking for Baikal Makarov pistols with the following prefixes to the serial number: 98, T01, T09, T21, T22
Prefer boxed or cased but will consider loose examples too.

I did wonder if they were actually .177
Auction house doesn't seem to switched on.

Hopefully I'll be able to update once I've bought them all 😉

They've got that MkI Diana down as .22, too.

Prices were way too high for me on the lots I bid on. There is a good thing about the high prices at auction.......I haven't spent my limited fun money which can now go towards a new digital camera

Well, I can assure you it wasn't me - I was nearly killed in the rush to bid £35. Although judging by the prices one was a lot better than the rest. Had you actually viewed them, Pete? Or can anybody else explain?.

Comfort yourself with the thought that nobody gets everything. I'm sure there was a story behind a hoard like that and I for one would like to hear it. Was the vendor even one of us? I did my sums and knew I had to buy several to justify the expenses. Unfortunately that would not have benefitted the vendor in the least and the flak I'd have got at home for embarking on a 350 mile round trip may not have been worth the effort.

Luckily what happens in NZ stays there.

The knackered 1960s Benjamin 342 without a rear site and a badly repaired stock was my banker cheap plaything....and it went for £120 hammer price
Are these more desirable than I thought?

A mad morning - even the ratty Weihrauch made good money.

I bid on the Haenel pistol but I didn't think it was worth half of the hammer price

I wish I'd had some of my own spare guns for sale in it!

Out of interest, does anyone have the hammer prices to hand, to see what the guns actually made ?
