    Springer scope twang

I recently tuned my springer but found that a large amount of the twang heard on firing was the internal spring of the scope.

I read that this is a spring built in scopes (particularly with AO?) to deal with the recoil from spring air rifles.

So which scopes are better/worse (bearing in mind its still got to withstands springer recoil)?

Are there any features that minimise/remove scope twang? Are side parallax scopes better?

Is there anything you can do with existing scopes to reduce twang?

Have you fired the gun without the scope on to be sure it definitely isn't the gun making the twang?

Yes, that was the first thing I did post tuning. Then the twang returned after fitting the scope

Just to confirm that scope twang is real: I have a Stoeger 3-9x40 that twangs really loud, no matter what gun I mount it on.
Its more of a "ping" than the buzz you usually get from a vibrating gun.
    Too many airguns!
