As regards drain problems, try a smoke cartridge and see if there are any untoward leaks.

Food source needs to be terminated

Access needs to be identified AND sealed. Their ingress points may lead you to where any sewage defences are absent or have failed.

Rates are extremely intelligent and learn fast. They will often watch juveniles to see whast happens ig they go somewhere or eat something.

If thry come and go, it suggests they are rotating food sources.

I would suggest using a smoker and terriers if you feel they are resident.

Using NV doesnt need illumination. 950 might be better than 850. Use elevation if you can covering multiple bait points if you can. If there are 2 of you then shoot alternately and make better use of your labour resorces. You have 4 NV rigs so 4 shooters min is possible.

Dont put lights on the rifles if you can. Set the lights up in fixed positions. If they are seeing the IR then movement is a giveaway.

Glue traps are under the microscope so may no longer be an option.

Electric zapper traps are 24 hour guardians.

Try not to miss. Anything that gets to cover can only educate tgeir peers.

Hi racing, I think you may be in danger of making the fatal mistake of under-estimating your enemy. Rats, according to the behavioural experts are as "intelligent" as dogs.
