Epi has nearly aced it, but:

    3. No4 rifle, not SMLE.
    4. Maybe, but the I think FWB300S too/instead.
    6. Yes, but there’s a little known earlier pop-breech u/l I forget the name of which that predates the Falkes.
    7. Erma Ranger, yes. Don’t forget the Air Wolf (Diana 24).

Blimey I made that too easy! Well done everyone.

Also I failed my own quiz ... I forgot about the Quakenbush striker insert that allowed the air-rifle to fire short rimfire cartridges and that the Rickenbacker has a chain in its self-cocking mech.

    1. Park RH series rifles, Browning Airstar/Rickenbacker

    2. Daisy V/L rifle, Weihrauch Barracuda ether booster (although not sure if an actual Weihrauch model or an add-on company), Quakenbush

    3. Lee Enfield No.4 was converted to use Saxby-Palmer air-cartridges

    4. Feinwerkbau 300S (Not sure about the HW55, if entered I don't remember any in the prize lists)

    5. BSA Scorpion - can be long-stroked and pushed up to a startling 8 fpe.

    6. Falke 80/90

    7. 'Air Wolf' Diana 24 and Erma Ranger

    8. Sig Hammerli used precision pop-up loading systems on its match pistols and rifles.

    9. Webley Eclipse (Not Ensign!)

    10. The larger FEG air-rifles marketed as Relum in the UK.

    9. Webley Ensign?

No 2. Didn't Diana also use the ether injection system in some of their rifles?

I was offered one of those Lee Enfields at a bootsale may years ago by a dodgy old geezer!

I told him it was illegal to sell and should be on a ticket and that if he didn't apply for one at the time they were put on ticket that he wasn't even allowed to own it!

He said that he'd bought it new and was allowed as he already owned it before the fac requirement, I'm pretty sure he knew the situation as he had it covered in the back of the car and was looking for someone gullible to offload it on to!, I had a look at a few airguns and related stuff he had on his stall, I think he probably showed it to anyone that looked at these items in the hopes of getting shut!

I believe fifteen hundred were converted, Dunno how many were handed in of licenced

I was thinking of the S-P Ensign Elite when doing the typing on the No.4 and it biffed the Eclipse out of the way ...

I don't know about the ether injector being used on other guns but it is quite possible as its unlikely to have been a HW development. Must have knackered a few mainsprings ...

I'm still wondering how long it used to take poor Mr Tyler to mop the bathroom floor after each shower.

I assumed it was a discarded shower-rail that was a poor fit in the shower-curtain, and that a better fitting shower-curtain 'guide' had been sourced ... no-one wants a loose shower-curtain rattling on its rail.

When I get the time (and the inclination ) I will attempt another because I like watching people struggle.
