Vintage RearAdjustable Diopter for Diana/Original 75?

A newbie question for someone who is learning...

My Original 75 has the standard rear Diopter and I am toying with changing the eye cup (?) to a modern one with an adjustable aperture and possibly optical correction such as the Gehmann 530. I have taken the measurements I can and I think its M9 or M9.5.... From the Gehmann site for new Diopters I think their new standard thread size is M9.5....

Can any one shed any light here (pardon the pun) and any recommendations . do's donts...Shooting a variety of 6 yard bell target, 10m and >35Yards Vintage comps...

    SilvergriffDog,

The thread is M9.5, and all the modern iris' will fit the Diana 75's sight

I use two (2) iris types on my rifles :

Centra Basic 0.8 to 1.8 mm

    https://www.intershoot.co.uk/product/centra-1-8-basic/

or Gehmann Basic 510 0.5 mm to 3 mm

    https://www.intershoot.co.uk/product...n-basic-510-2/

The Anschutz Basic 9775 Iris is, IIRC, the same as the Gehmann 510

( For me, there is really no need to go outside of 0.8 to 1.8 mm )

To get the iris closer to the eye (to around 75mm from eye to iris), I would suggest an extension tube :

    Have fun

    Best regards

    Russ
