HW Rekord trigger set converted to TX200 trigger blade

    Hi Chaps

I know this has been discussed before but...

I'm bored at home with a fluey bug thing so I decided to have a tinker...

HW trigger cage drilled to 3mm on piller drill to accommodate larger diameter trigger pin.

3mm drill bit section at 10.1mm long cut off with a mini dremel wizz wheel to make a trigger blade pivot pin.

"Forbidden screw" removed completely from lower sear as no longer required. I've not seen this mentioned before.

Trigger tension screw cut down to less than half its original length.

front tab bent forward to give maximum forward position to TX200 trigger blade.

Both grubs wound well back on blade then 1st stage dialed in so trigger just lets off then 2nd stage dialed in and first and second stage tweeked to a perfect breaking-glass let-off.

Bingo. Took an hour and was very satisfying as I now have a lovely trigger reach on my MK2 HW77 in original stock.

Hope this was of interest to some.

    Cheers
    Matty

    Thumbs up

no need to drill the rekord cage ...all that was needed was a piece of 3mm tube with a 2mm id .....so you can go back to a rekord blade done a couple
them there springer's are soooooo addictive

    Hi Mate

Some of us don't have access to such tiny tubes nor could I make one...

As many of you know my usual choice of tool is either a hammer, a power file or a recip saw

But... I would guess it would be legit to drill a Rekord trigger blade hole out from 2mm to 3mm if one required a retrofit...

    It's all great fun anyway

Do you remove the forbidden screw Joffy?

I have some 7mm aluminium plate so my next tinkering will be to hand-fashion a Record /CD hybrid trigger Blade with adjuster grub screws.

I made one before but inserted the hardened pins from a spare HW blade rather than drilling and tapping for M3 grubs.

    Matty 😁

I just backed it right out and used a little touch of nail varnish as a threadlock
