or just remove the cocking link to gain easier access to the tension nylock nuts, using a box type spanner.
Use oil not grease on the sledge, and adjust so the action slides forwards when the gun is tilted to 45 degrees. seems to work fine.
Also, removing the piston weight makes for a better shot cycle (as with all Mk1/2s) but slightly increases cocking effort, so fit a longer spring, don't space the original.
There's not much to do, they are a great gun. Taking my walnut .177 to the range later this morning
