    Remington Express TP

I have recently bought a Remington express. I have measured the transfer port at 4mm.
    This seems a little big.
    It is in .22 cal.
    How big is yours?

I'll have a look at mine and get back to you when I've finished my brew, Neil.

4mm may seem big, but the volume of the port is also important, so if it's a short wide port it may not be too bad.

unless it shorter than about 6mm, it;s too big
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Yes, it's 4mm --- no idea on the length without stripping the barrel off.

    Length must be near 15mm.
I have sleeved mine down. Its currently at 2.5mm, not easy to drill it out with the cylinder forks. I now have a 3mm drill bit in an extension bar.

If I need to extend a drill bit I knock a long roll pin onto its shank Neil.

    That's a great idea Mick.
I don't have any long roll pins but I do have 9mm brass rod.
