I believe the HW is for Herman Weihrauch,no idea about the TX

I guess the T of TX was something to do with it's designer, Ken Turner...
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

TX200 .177 21mm TL | TX200HC .22 22mm TL | Prosport .22 22mm TL
HW40 | HW45 | Diana Mod5 | Webley Senior....... Because PCP is like kissing your sister (apparently)

Going by the advertising in the above link x is for excellence,
& CD is simply for 'computer designed'.
found that interesting
CD trigger can also stand for Copied Design as the original ones were a copy of the Venom Mach 1 trigger. Mach 1.5
Stick with BSA, many of their gun and for that matter, pellet names relate to motorcycles they produced in the past
Yep I had a good starfire 250 but not had the pleasure of shooting the rifle yet.
