Omg what a drama at the Brewers Fare last night , attached to the Premier Inn where we are staying in Cockermouth

Just like Faulty Towers

Booked a table for 5.30 , got our starter at 5.50, that's fine. Finished starter by 6 pm. 6.40 still no main meal

Our lass was on the case lol

3 times she went to see someone .

When it did come ,they sent me the wrong food, so hers went back , no point in only one eating at the table.

Manager was useless, a lass who had been sent down from another branch to help out was much better. At least we got a free bottle of wine.

Then the meal came again, our lasses steak was well done, she wanted medium, so it went back ,again.

I kept my trio of pies.

So keen to tuck in, I've now burnt all the roof of my mouth

I mentioned to our lass during this farce , that I didn't recognise any of the staff, we've been a few times before and everyone was great.

When I mentioned this to Hayley , the lass who was doing her best to sort all this out, she said ALL the previous staff had left over the last few months, not good. Something must have happened for everyone to leave.

Will be going for breakfast at 8.30 .

I wonder how this will pan out ???

Sounds all a bit chaotic and dysfunctional, Dave.. And terrible when you have people spending their hard earned (and hard to hang on to) money right now for a treat which should be just right. Who knows why all the staff left? There could be so many reasons......
