I was told that it means the bottle wasn't galvanised before painting.
Might be bullshoyte but have no second opinion, so far.

Very annoying as I had to buy a new 3ltr bottle.
I have my own wind pump now and two 12ltr 300bar bottles to sell, both full -1 with 5 years and 1 with 14 months.
I should have decanted a 12ltre into the 4 ltre before retesting, then just top up as required with the new pump.
I'm happy with mine
they should sell no bother
