    Tx200 MK2 spring.

Just received a MK2 spring as I'm on doing a short stroke conversion on my MK3...

Should the collapsed coils go piston end?

Also , should I be bothering with the top hat weight or will a delrin one surfice?

I am assuming the weight is there to counteract bounce ?

    Thanks guys

Piston end if you have the correct top hat....or reverse if you want less sprung weight

Thanks, what of the weight? Does it need it or will a delrin top hat be ok?

When I short stroked my .22" TX using an LGV piston I ditched the weight and used a Delrin top hat and turned the spring round so that the crushed coils were at the trigger block end.

You can put the collapsed end into the rear guide so the piston will be lighter

Yes, I found it lowered the power when the spring was turned end for end, Jonathan. :-

Are you using a mk1 or mk 2 latch rod in the piston? As putting a mk2 spring into a mk3 98mm stroke will put you over the legal limit..

i'd defo go with a light TH rather than trying to reproduce the heavy AA factory weight.
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

The much better way as it gives you more spring room..
    Cheers
