The standard synthetic sealed Oldschool HW50 piston weighs in at 200-202 grams, Tone.

    Bore X stroke = 25mm X 65mm.

    Transfer port = 3mm X 25mm.

My playing with HW50s, if it's any help ? :-

If I did another one I'd just increase the stroke by 5mm by machining the piston arbor to accept a TX piston seal then weight the piston back up to 200 grams.

Interesting to see that HW used a completely different rear sight on the last of these and never used it on another model. Mach 1.5

The complete one that you sold me has a rear sight that you adjust the windage on with a screwdriver --- is that the one you mean, Paul ?

Hi Mick. These are a plastic job with HW stamped on it. A cross between an original 45 rear sight and the front end off the new housing of the current HW rearsight range. Mach 1.5

An early one will make the perfect companion to your later 50/99S, sir.

Details now on Bruce's thread as long as that's okay, Mick?

I have one of these Hw grp rear sights, I thought it came off of a first batch Hw99s, perhaps I'm mistaken

It could well have come off an early 99, John, as we already know, Weihrauch used up their stock of Oldschool HW85 pistons in the early HW95s.

Why wouldn't they use up their old stock HW50 rear sights on the early HW99s ?

    No problem, Tone.

One day I'll get round to editing the list.

    Hi Mick

I bought a Hw99s when they first came out and yes after wracking my mind, the graphite reinforced plastic rear sight did come with the 99s but as hard as I try, I can't remember what rear sight was fitted to my Mk1 Hw50s.

Although that was 27 years ago so I won't be losing any sleep over it

    All the best

    HW50 Original version Dates.

Seems made from 1950 till 1995. The last versions hitting the UK in 1992. Mine is a 1993 but no Hull Cartridge markings on it. Mach 1.5
