Finally found an affordable rifle rucksack style case

As I'm currently restricted to public transport, walking or cycling to go shooting I've had to restrict the amount of toys I take to the range, and needed a rucksack style case

Found these after lusting after an Aim dragbag but being put off by the £200 price tag!

Currently £86, extremely well made, the only thing I see it really lacks from the Aim range of bags is the strap options inside

    Some better pictures here

Almost looking forward to my weekly trek to the range now!

Depending on the length of the rifle I found a decent 39" bag for the price on the bay for my P15 which I have fitted a Bob Pattenden 3D stock and Mark Dempsey shroud on and it fits inside. The bag has velcro straps inside which hold the rifle and some outer pockets for pellets, pellet magazines, etc.
    Item number is 353723633809.

However if you want a longer bag there's a 47" version, item number 134189246917.

I can't find any info that gives a clue as to whether these bags are up to carrying a 4+kg rifle.

What's your thoughts on there sturdiness SM

I've used these up until now, the shoulder straps are naff, they carry the case far too high, and are too long, so flop around when being carried

Zero padding, and nothing inside to secure rifle - they look OK, and if you are just transporting rifle from house, to car, out at range, and return they are legally compliant, but really don't rate them for protection/portability/durability

Thanks for the feed back, I've been looking for a rifle type slip that has 2 shoulder straps to balance to weight when doing the 2 mile walk to my shoot.

Cheap n cheerful or ott expensive, there seems to be no middle ground with these kind of holdalls

I found the smaller one ideal for the P15 rifle and it has velcro straps inside which I secure the rifle with. The outer bag straps I find are ok and not had any problem with them. There's shoulder straps as well as a carry handle strap. The P15 I have is under 4kg I reckon so I couldn't comment on a rifle of that weight but I can't see why the bag wouldn't carry one because if they are used as fishing tackle bags as well to carry rods, tackle, etc I reckon that would weigh over 4kg.

I took some photos of the bag I have which is the smaller size 39" with the P15 rifle inside. There is thin padding on the bag and in the photos you will see the other pockets and straps. Also the zip on the main compartment can be fitted with a small padlock to keep the bag locked while travelling.

Thank you for taking the time to post pictures.

Most descriptions say not suitable for rifles over 37 inches but I have found one 1.2 m bag that says rifles up to 47 inches.

All this has now made me wonder why spring rifles don't come with QD screw in barrels.
