    CO2 Air Rifles

A friend has asked for a recommendation for a CO2 air rifle suitable for ratting initially, but as I'm not familiar with such rifles I'm asking on here for full power recommendations, not pseudo military styles please.

    I like my SMK QB78.
Power can vary out of the box.
    Easy to fettle.
    Repariere nicht, was nicht kaputtist.

CP2 is very accurate, and hits as hard as needed re vermin for at least 35 shots from one new co2 bulb.
I bought an extra mag so 4 mags through it ,then a new co2 is needed soon.

    a few to choose from
    crosman 2250
    cp2
    xs78
    xs79
    501
    cr600
all depends on what style he wants
the 501 out of the box is nearest the limit but all in .22 can be tuned to the limit

they're a real good gun apart fgrom the shite co2 cap (can be replaced by a 78 cap but needs a spacer between the carts as it's shorter)

yeah, that the handy thing about any of those that take a co2 cart neck facing outwards - a gastight tube...

I've just been talking with another well respected air gun guru, who reckons the QB78/79 with a multi shot adaptor is worthy of consideration.

the 78's are great value and a solid gun but do need a little more elbow grease to fettle than the Spa guns
