What are you planning to hunt or shoot with them? At 12ftlbs they aren't going to be any better than a 18g jsb. Polymag aren't bad. But rws hobby are excellent aswell

It depends on how tight they are in barrel. Being slugs they usually have a larger bearing surface on barrel. Granted these are fairly light weight. As you say, at the muzzle they may or may not be faster than a diabolo pellet. My fac 25 does 52ftlbs with pellets 40ftlbs with fx hybrid slugs. There too tight. But very accurate.
All barrels are different, the FX hybrid .25 were pretty damn poor in my FAC.
In my .22 the standard JSB Exact jumbo 16gn is very good but the Express & RS less so, the heavy 18gn & monster 25gn are frankly cr*p.
But regardless of that, My question was "Has anyone tried the pro-hunter slug ?"
I wasn't asking for a debate on the best .22pellet
not tried in .22, but I did try them in .177 and they were decent - not quite as good as JSB pellets, and the improved BC was outeighed by the lower ME, but it was all very close.. but no cigar. Be good to know how you get on with these in .22
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
Let us know how they perform in sub 12ftlbs. You might be only one who has them.
