    Packing

    Good evening everyone,

Can anyone who has received a copy advise if the book was well packaged to avoid any damage in transit?

    All the best

Protek package their books to a very high standard, so you won't have to worry about that aspect.

Currently looking for Baikal Makarov pistols with the following prefixes to the serial number: 98, T01, T09, T21, T22
Prefer boxed or cased but will consider loose examples too.

l have my copy now. and l must say if you are going to have a book on spring air pistols, this is the one to get. and worth every penny. we as collectors owe so much to people like John who have spent an enormous amount of time and effort. let alone money, in compiling this book.

If you haven't got your copy already you'd be well-advised to get on with it while they're still in stock... Before you know it they'll all be sold out and you know what the private market is like. The first edition became almost unobtainable at any price eventually. I predict the same will happen with this one in time.

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.

    Good point.

Does anyone know if there will be copies for sale at Kempton this weekend?

Yes, Tim Dyson will be bringing some signed copies along for sale. He will also have a sample copy on his table for people to browse before deciding to buy.

    Cheers,
    John

And trust me, having browsed, you will buy.

We are limited on the numbers of copies we can take due to space and mainly weight along with the airguns we take with us. So we have 8 copies only on a first come first served basis. No reserving, we did that at Birmingham and were let down which is annoying as we could have sold the copies we had. See you on Sunday. Regards Tim.
