It's all gone crazy. Cost of materials, labour, heating premises etc etc. I don't think I'll be buying much gun related at all over the next few months. Waiting to see how much the winter is going to cost me in gas & electric.

Not in the uk it isn't ,most folk have had pay cuts for the last 30 years, I.E. raises by less than inflation, raw materials, energy, shipping costs & brexit are the real reasons.

FYI, I paid $554.38 or £454.86 for my HW95L .22 back in 2020 from AoA. The price has gone up $40.00, £32.82, now.

I bought a brand new rifle the other week, first one I've bought new since the 1990s, luckily it was about the same price as a quality secondhand rifle nowadays, even those have gone mad in gunshops.

Airgun Shooter magazine has a list of various bits of kit this month. I was amazed at the prices of pcps these days. Yes, you can get a pcp at the budget end of the list i.e. around the £500 mark but the number of rifles now costing £1200 and upwards is surprising. I looked at the listing and thought to myself that I was sadly out of touch. Being 'an old wrinkly' £1000 seems like a lot of money but maybe to the much younger generation it isn't. Maybe I should have realised this when I see adverts for kids' toys ... it seems nothing to pay around £100 these days.
