    The principal reason, I think, is the decline in the value of the Pound. You might recall that some years ago, £1 bought Euro 1.40 plus.

    Transport and energy costs are a further factor, caused by the 'green' agenda and the Ukraine war, which have reduced the availability of traditional fuels.

    I suppose, in due course, there will be a rise in second hand prices if this has not already occurred.
