    Benchrest rifle help

Looking to see if anyone can help me out with this looking for a new benchrest rifle and wondered what the best out of the box rifle out of these would be as I’m stuck on which one either a raw hm1000x, Feinwerkbau 800x ft or a Walther lg400 ft

    Benchrest rifle

We shoot 25 yard benchrest with both airgun and rimfire, the most popular choice and most successful are those using the air arms FTP 900. One member had the RAW but sold it in favour of the Walther LG 400. Hope this helps, mark.

There is no answer to this, all of those models are capable, but the differences in individual guns is what will sort them out. BR is clinical, most guns will need some TLC to get rid of the rough edges other disciplines would not notice, and pellet choice is critical.

Put simply, you cannot buy a "best out the box" BR gun, no matter how much money you throw at it

    Practise, practise, practise
