10 minutes with a newbe Mk2 Meteor don't know whether it's me or it doesn't like 5.5mm Marksman .22s but it grouped like a shotgun.

    Nice one,Neil.
And, obviously, great to be "out there", giving yourself the opportunity to be in the right place at the right time to be able to witness such wonders and the beauty of the great outdoors and all the marvels it delivers.

Since trying them for the first time they have been my go to pellet for .22 springers Tony
Made 2.5 ft/lb difference in my Superstar
So obviously reduced spring and preload to get the best firing cycle
Even my BSA standard likes them
Can't see a difference in groups between them and 5.56 Marksman

Gonna give the barrel a good go in a few minutes and have just ordered some 0.1 mm shim washers from A bey to experiment with. I know accepted wisdom is to squeeze the jaws but for 1.89 I shall try to emulate my Herman.
P.s I've just dropped off the action for project Mk3 at the metal polishers. What a nice Man Dez is until he realised the Meteor black is stove enamelled.

Edit later on. Cleaned barrel which did not have a lot of muck but did smell something like old engine oil and put some superdomes through. Back to my usual standards of inaccuracy therefore not the gun.

Excellent stuff, Pete, and very much appreciated. They can seem to give much higher muzzle energy figures through a great many springers. Although a few of mine do it with the Hobby.
Accuracy results not a shock. Although, through many of my HWs, it's the FTT that seems to pip the rest.
