    Can use aluminium drinks cans to cut out a shim.

    Anything super thin that wont compress. Just watch your fingers as drinks tin be sharp.

    I wouldn't shim it - It's a bodge and, you do run the risk of damaging the scope tube.

    If you like the rifle and the scope, fork out some cash for good adjustable mounts/mount - you'll be glad you did
