Any help or advice on a Beretta Px4 storm air pistol Problem

Any help or advice on a Beretta Px4 storm air pistol Problem I brought this pistol for my Grandsons to learn to shoot. When used it I found the trigger very hard to pull but I was able shoot it.
My boys could only discharge it with great difficulty with very little control with the aim.
Finally my question is can the trigger pull be reduced so they can control it whilst aiming and firing safely? .

It should be very easy to shoot if operated properly, Fill the magazine, make sure the c02 capsule is working, pull the slide back for the first shot (or cock the hammer) after the first shot the gun should blowback and reset the trigger. they the trigger should operate quite lightly, mines about a 4 pound pull.

Make sure you're seating the pellets properly in the magazine

If it was bought new, ask your RFD to check the trigger weight. If it's silly, get them to return it under warranty.
