Thank you, Pete; I'll look forward to it.

The thing is, there's so much to see on Saturday and so many different and interesting people to interact with, that time simply flies by far too quickly. Then, on the Sunday I was mainly showing those newbie work colleagues the ropes / a bit of coaching (from me??) and swapping a scope for one and re-zeroing his rifle etc....and again, that time evaporated away so quickly.....

Still thinking about what scope for her. She deserves better than I have on her now

Yep, that 280 is, indeed, very lovely.

I can't remember what scope it had atop, Pete. But I remember it being very nice and clear and it was certainly easily connecting with a wide variety of targets. Personally I think I'd be tempted to go for something with a fairly small objective, suiting those lovely, classic, "shallow", sporting rifle dimensions.

It's a little vertex I think. It doesn't seem to suit my eye though

Gotcha. As has often been said, different glass does seem to suit different people, Pete. Not wanting to teach you how to suck eggs, but guessing you've tried fine tweaking the focus?

Yep. For some reason my eyes "lose" the half mil dot marks. No problems with my Hawkes MTC or Optisan. Scopes. Others don't get the issue when using it. I will either put a Optisan CP on the Sirocco and move the Airmax or buy another Airmax. Not had any luck sourcing iron sights for it yet
