Just obtained a senior in average condition with original box. Any idea of what it would be worth,

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
It's worth what you've just paid for it.
Albert66 may have been given the pistol and so it has a value.....nasty people on here with smart arse answers
Depends on the version. There's a decent post war on guntrader for £150. Hope that helps? Mach 1.5

Asides the jokiness of the responses so far, it really depends many things. We need more info. In particular the model, condition (how is the blueing, is it bashed, how are screw heads, has body end plug been tampered with, is barrel straight and correct for the model?) Box (does it match? Original or repro?) and box condition, does it shoot well, age etc etc etc. Decent photos are the key.
So as has been seen (quite rightly in my opinion), a very general question will get a very general response...
The original Senior was made from 1930-1935, the 'new' Senior from 1935 to 1964, so there's a lot of different variations on the theme. Hence it is difficult even to give a ballpark figure.
If you can't post photos, have a look at for sale ads to give a general idea - hopefully you'll find one similar to yours, so that'll narrow down the model.. Don't forget dealer prices are higher than private sales.

Its hard to say. Seen some absolute shockers, covered in rust pitting which are pretty much worthless in my eyes, but running £200 and similar….being declared as good condition.
Seniors a reasonable collectors item as maybe, but worthless once heavily pitted.
Dyson often has some half reasonable stuff from time to time, but just about the most expensive in western Europe, if not the entire world….seen a few average jobs on there rocking up £500…
£200 often steals a reasonable one on auctions, but you then need to factor in the percentage commission on the sale…taking it £240 ish…
Put a pic up next time. Makes the post look real and stops the smart ass comedians from dissing your post.
