I always had you down to be a serious shooter/collector/aficionado of air rifles. Seems a great shame to strip any rifle down and sell for parts and deprive the airgun community of yet another classic rifle, especially given the demise of the Theoben company.
Why not sell it to me for £50

I’m not sure how valuations compare between the Taunus and Fenman, but to give some context I recently sold a mint Fenman in .22 with Hyedua stock for £650. It would seem any Theoben product has increased by around 50%+ over the past 18 months. If I were you I would get it reblued and then decide either to keep hold of it or sell it on.

Has the blueing really gone that much that it needs re-doing, very rare for that to happen to a Theoben unless it’s been a bit abused in a previous life. I’d be very much tempted to enjoy it and consider it patina.
    Regards,
    Dave.
